Getting here
The island of Shapinsay has excellent ferry links, with the 25-minute ferry running frequently from Kirkwall.
For full timetable details, see www.orkneyferries.co.uk
Please note - though many of the Northern Isles have airfields, there are no scheduled flights to Shapinsay.
First of all, though, you have to get to Orkney.
There are a number of ways to do this. By sea you can travel from Scrabster to Stromness, from Aberdeen to Kirkwall or from Lerwick to Kirkwall with Northlink Ferries.
Alternatively, you can travel with Pentland Ferries from Gills Bay to St Margarets Hope or with John O'Groats Ferries (passenger only) from John O'Groats to Burwick.
If you wish to travel by air, Kirkwall has an airport with frequent flights Aberdeen & Inverness and connections further afield.
For those who do not have transport we provide courtesy transport and collect you from the ferry on arrival and return you there on your day of departure.
